The Story of Bercher Homes

Bercher Homes embarked on its journey with a vision deeply ingrained in passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Founded by Dale Bercher, the company emerged from a desire to redefine the homebuilding experience in the vibrant landscape of Metro Atlanta. With a focus on the northwestern suburbs of Marietta, Kennesaw, and Acworth, and more recently expanding to North Georgia with a development in Ball Ground, the goal is not merely to construct houses, but to craft homes that reflect the unique dreams and aspirations of each client.

Dale Bercher's inspiration for founding Bercher Homes stems from a lifelong love for construction and a desire to make a positive impact in the community. "I wanted to create homes that families could truly call their own—a place where memories are made, and dreams are realized," Dale explains. With this vision driving the company forward, Bercher Homes has become synonymous with quality craftsmanship, personalized service, and enduring value.

The Bercher Homes Team

It's this sense of belonging and community spirit that sets the area apart and makes it an ideal place to call home.

Central to the success of Bercher Homes is an incredible team and the culture of excellence that defines the company. Jennifer Gehan, Chief Operating Officer, speaks passionately about the amazing culture at Bercher Homes. "We're more than just colleagues—we're a family," Jennifer emphasizes. "From our dedicated construction crews to our talented design team, everyone at Bercher Homes shares a common commitment to exceeding expectations and delivering exceptional homes."

In the bustling expanse of the Metro Atlanta housing market, Bercher Homes stands as a steadfast provider of quality homes, particularly in the northwestern suburbs of Marietta, Kennesaw, and Acworth. We are honored to contribute to the much-needed inventory of homes in the area, it's no secret that persistent high mortgage rates have presented a significant hurdle for many buyers. Despite recent fluctuations, these rates have remained relatively high, impacting affordability, and complicating the path to the closing table. However, we remain optimistic about the resilience of the market and are committed to working tirelessly to help buyers overcome these obstacles. "We understand the challenges that high mortgage rates pose for our clients,” shares Becky Bercher, Director of New Home Sales. "That’s why we have established strong ties with mortgage brokers in the area to ensure our clients can secure the best rate possible that is right for their needs. Our clients' satisfaction and peace of mind are paramount to us, and we will go above and beyond to help them navigate the complexities of the current market."

In the dynamic landscape of new home construction, trends are constantly evolving to meet homeowners' changing needs and lifestyles. At Bercher Homes, headquartered in Marietta, Georgia, we understand the importance of staying ahead of the curve to deliver homes that not only meet but exceed our clients' expectations. Two significant trends shaping the architectural plans of new homes are the rise of remote work and increasing life expectancy. The shift towards remote work has had a profound impact on the design of new homes. With more individuals opting for telecommuting arrangements, the demand for dedicated home offices and flexible workspaces has surged. “At Bercher Homes, we've incorporated these needs into our architectural plans, ensuring that each home offers functional and stylish spaces conducive to productivity,” observes Angie Reuter, Design Consultant. “Whether it's a secluded study or a versatile flex room, we prioritize creating environments that support the modern work-from-home lifestyle.” Another trend influencing new home construction is the longer life expectancy of residents. As people live longer, there's a growing emphasis on designing homes that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also safe and accessible for older occupants. From wider doorways and grab bars in bathrooms to single-story layouts and zero-step entries, our process of personalizing our architectural plans to prioritize features that enhance comfort and mobility for residents of all ages makes us unique. Additionally, we recognize the importance of flexible spaces that can adapt to changing needs, whether it's accommodating in-home care for older family members or providing a comfortable living environment for multi-generational households.

We all know that the kitchen is more than just a space for cooking—it's a gathering place, a sanctuary, and the true heart of the home. Kitchens play a pivotal role in the lives of our clients. That's why we're constantly innovating and adapting our home plans to reflect the latest trends in kitchen design, ensuring that each home we build is equipped with a kitchen that is both functional and beautiful. Emphasizing the efficient arrangement of the three main work areas—sink, stove, and refrigerator—or the “work triangle”, minimizes unnecessary movement and maximizes our clients’ time and ease of movement through the space. At Bercher Homes, all kitchen cabinet plans are designed to implement the most high-functioning and efficient use of space.

It’s not too late to get tickets for this year’s annual Harmonies for Homes concert on June 27 at Atlanta Country Club! This concert under the stars raises funds to build one home for a future Habitat homeowner, and you can make that possible. Meet the artists for our 2022 entertainment line-up: Edwin McCain has been called the “great American romantic” by the New York Times. He has built an enviable career over the past 20 years by balancing his massive pop success with the year-round touring schedule of a tireless troubadour. His hit songs, authentic spirit, and surprisingly affable sense of humor keep fans coming back time and time again for nights that feel more like parties with old friends than rock concerts. After recording two of the biggest love songs in the history of pop music, “I’ll Be” and “I Could Not Ask for More”, McCain now performs upwards of 100 shows annually throughout the US as a solo artist, with his full band or his acoustic trio. Edwin also makes his debut performance at the Grand Ole Opry this July! Mark Broussard is a singer-songwriter whose style is best described as Bayou Soul, a mix of funk, blues, R&B, rock and pop, matched with distinctive southern roots. He has released eight studio albums, one live album, three EPs and has charted twice. Broussard has been a featured performer on many TV programs including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, A&E Breakfast with the Arts, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, CBS Saturday Early Show, Larry King Live, Lopez Tonight, and CBS's Saturday Morning's Second Cup Cafe. His music has been featured on shows in which "Home" was performed by a Blake Shelton-led choir. Singer Kelly Clarkson performed "Home" as part of her live setlist in 2006 and 2007 and his song, “Must Be the Water" was the theme song for the 2008 NBA All-Star Game. Emerson Hart is no stranger to penning hits over his 25-year career creating works of art that resonate with fans and quickly become classics. He fronts the multi-platinum GRAMMY® Award-nominated alternative rock institution, Tonic, that has racked up six Top 10 singles including “If You Could Only See,” which was the number one most-played rock song of 1998. Tonic has sold more than 4 million records, received multiple Grammy nominations, and toured the world. In addition to Tonic, Emerson built a growing solo discography. 2007’s Cigarettes & Gasoline garnered tastemaker praise and yielded two Top 20 singles. In 2014, Beauty in Disrepair arrived as a fan and critical favorite lauded by USA Today, Huffington Post, Guitar World, and many more. Emerson is a native of Washington, Pennsylvania and grew up in New Jersey. He now lives in Nashville. This year’s concert is presented by Bercher Homes , and produced by Mooncrush .
